Many retirees or people quasi-retired like the concept of having a winter home in a warm climate. Several of our Active Adult Communities have a large percent of homes that are owned by “Snow Birds.”

Some Active Adult Communities start limiting the age to at least one person 45 years old and older, while others are 50 and 55 years old. These communities generally offer a community swimming pool, other sports activities, and often a community center with activities. Some of these communities have exceptional golf courses and others have no golf course.

The University of Arizona is located in Tucson, which has a medical school. We are fortunate to not only have excellent medical facilities and hospitals, but also to have the great arts that are normally associated with a university city. And there are hiking trails on the mountains that surround Tucson.
